I am so pleased to have been awarded 3rd place in MSU's 2015 Global Focus Competition. It is a great start to helping me realize a dream of creating photographs that people may wish to purchase.

Herding! June 2015
Faith was ready to go in June. Her lesson in May taught her what she needed to do and she was ON!
She could only do one run because of the heat, but boy did she have fun!
Herding! May 2015
Faith has been herding for a few months now. Although she loves it, she seems confused as to what is expected of her. So the trainer suggested she participate in a herding clinic in May.
To help teach Faith what was expected of her they had Lucy help her out. You can see her excitedly following Lucy's lead - and then working together!

Faith's Adventures - Winter
Faith has had a lot of adventures this year. Although we had a large amount of snow in the New Mexico mountains, we found a place in the valley to begin herding lessons.
She started in a small ring and just had an absolute blast!

Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument
The Mogollon people built 40 rooms inside 5 natural caves. They grew corn, beans, and squash. They built these rooms with rock, mortar, and timber between 1276 and 1287. They moved on around 1300.
Montezuma Castle & Tuzigoot National Monuments
Tuzigoot is a Southern Sinagua village built between 1000 and 1400. It sits on a summit 120 feet above the Verde Valley.
The original pueblo was 2 stories high with 87 ground-floor rooms. Entry was primarily from ladders through roof openings.
Montezuma Well is a limestone sink and is still fed by continuously flowing springs. The Southern Sinagua irrigated crops and you can still see traces of the lime coated irrigation ditches. The dwellings surrounding the well range from one room houses to large pueblos.
Montezuma Castle is a 5 story 20 room dwelling built between 1100 and 1300. It occupies a cliff recess 100 feet above the valley.
